Player Overrides
We do not use any mandatory overrides; we take pride in the convenience of a HAK-FREE server.

The following overrides are optional.

If you wish to use them, the file (ending in the extension .2da) must be placed in your override folder, which may be found in your game's main directory (usually found in C:\Neverwinter\override). Simply start your game after you have copied the file to your override folder, and come play on our server.

Optional Spells 2da Override

We have modified the selection of spells for certain classes to add some spells these classes were given in PnP, but not given in NWN. We also made a game master judgement call on a couple of other spells, and broadened access to them as well. You DO NOT need this override to join and play on the server - it is NOT a HAK. If you do not have the override, there will simply be no effect; you will not lose any default NWN spells. No spells that you already have by default in NWN are changed by this override, we have only allowed some classes access to additional, pre-existing NWN spells.

Place only the .2da file in your override directory. The readme is included for information only.

Below is a list of the affected spells, followed by the exrta classes receiving the spells, with the spell level in parentheses:

Barkskin - Ranger(2)
Cat's Grace - Druid(2)
Combust - Druid(2)
Endurance - Druid(2), Ranger(2)
Flame Weapon - Druid(2)
Fox's Cunning - Druid(2)
Freedom of Movement - Bard(4)
Gust of Wind - Druid(2)
Lesser Restoration - Paladin(1)
Owl's Wisdom - Druid(2), Paladin(2), Ranger(2)
Remove Curse - Paladin(3)
Remove Fear - Bard(1)
Restoration - Paladin(4)
Spike Growth - Ranger(2)

Optional Druid Weapon Proficiency Feats 2da Override

Druid restrictions on weapons that they may use has always seemed flimsy at best to us, especially in the case of weapons such as bows. The rulebooks have always provided vague reasoning related to oaths and metals and unnatural substances which have always seemed more like a hold-over from the first days of AD&D than sensible reasoning. It has escaped us why a druid would be allowed to wield a steel scimitar with no ill effect, yet cannot wield a short or long sword without temporarily losing his powers. Druids that are played as having made gear related oaths are welcomed to continue down that path, but druids in general will not be restricted to starting druid weapons if they do not wish to be so restricted. Therefore, we have made a rule change that will allow druids to learn to wield any type of weapon (the appropriate feat must still be bought).

This override will allow the druid to select Martial Weapon Proficiency and Exotic Weapon Proficiency feats on our server. There will be no effect if you do not have this override installed in your override directory; it is not required.
