Domain Changes Clerical Death Domain The summoned Shadow creature will stay summoned for 1 hour per clerical level. If you are of a good or neutral alignment (on the good/evil axis) you will receive an alignment shift toward evil each time you summon your shadow. Good clerics receive a greater shift than neutral clerics. |

Feat Changes Summoning Animal Companions We have modified the game so that druids and rangers must meet minimum level requirements to keep certain animal companions. The following companions are restricted (all others are available at level 1): Animal Type/Minimum
Level Required: Summoning Familiars Wizards
and sorcerers must be level seven or higher to keep the following familiars: This is based on the Improved Familiar feat in the Forgotten Realms. These creatures were grouped together because of the similarities of their uniqueness, and their nature. All other familiars are available at level one. Note: The Eyeball familiar is not available in this module, this was a DM judgement call made in the interest of reasonable "reality" (it was deemed silly for this type of familiar to be available to any PC within this setting). Turn Undead Clerics and Paladins must now carry a holy/unholy symbol to turn undead. Two types of symbols are available: amulets, and hand-held symbols. The symbol must be equipped to function. Evil Clerics may now dominate the most powerful undead creature that was supposed to be destroyed. The rest of the undead that were meant to die will now follow the cleric. Determining the turning levels for pure Paladins and Paladin/Cleric multiclass is now correct as per the PHB. Wild Shape The druid's Wild Shape transformations will become dire versions of the animals at eight levels of druid, rather than twelve levels of druid. This is more in line with the PHB, which allows the druid to take the form of large sized creatures at eighth level. Druids may also now select many additional custom wild shapes beginning at level 5 by choosing categories of forms from the modified crafting radial menu. The selection of a custom shape-set must be made prior to using the Wild Shape feat, and will replace the previous set until changed, or until a server reset occurs. Eighth level druids may choose either the dire forms or original non-dire forms of the five default animal choices. Dire forms are not available for the additional shapes we added. |

Spell Changes Our OPTIONAL Spells 2da Override We have modified the selection of spells for certain classes to add some spells these classes were given in PnP, but not given in NWN. You may download this override here if you wish. The following spell modifications have also been made: Blackstaff Duration has been shortened to 1 round/caster level. The enhancement bonus conferred has been lowered to +3 from +4. Bladethirst Duration has been shortened to 1 round/caster level. Bless Weapon Duration has been shortened to 1 round/caster level. The divine damage bonus versus undead has been changed to a flat +3 enhancement. The spell still confers a standard +1 enhancement bonus to the affected weapon. Bull's Strength / Cat's Grace / Eagle's Splendor / Endurance / Fox's Cunning / Owl's Wisdom These spells no longer roll randomly to adjust ability scores between 2 and 5 points, instead they adjust the ability score by +4. This is per the PHB. Continual Light You may cast this spell on items, but the item will be marked as plot when you do. You will be unable to sell these items to NPC merchants, and you will be unable to modify the appearance of these items using crafting. Cast wisely, friends. Darkfire Duration has been shortened to 2 rounds plus 1 round/caster level. Fire damage is set to 1-4 bonus points instead of 1-6 + 1-10 by caster level halved. Find Traps This spell no longer disables traps. Instead, it gives a bonus to Search equal to +1 skill point/caster level. There is no cap on the total bonus, and the duration runs one turn/level. Flame Weapon Duration has been shortened to 1 round/caster level. Fire damage is now fixed at 1-4 damage bonus instead of 1-4 + 1-10 for caster level. Greater Magic Weapon The maximum weapon bonus conferred by this spell is now +3 enhancement, and start at +1 and increase by +1 every 4 levels to this maximum. Duration has been shortened to 1 round/caster level. Keen Edge Duration has been shortened to 2 rounds/caster level. Knock Only the door nearest to the spellcaster will be targeted by the spell. Be sure no door other than the one you want to affect is closer to your PC when casting the spell. Only one door per casting will be affected by Knock; this is per PnP, and helps to keep rogues useful. Magic Vestment Maximum armor bonus has been set to +4, instead of +5. Magic Weapon Duration has been shortened to 1 round/caster level. One With the Land The spell One With the Land no longer applies a bonus to Set Traps. The bonuses for Hide, Move Silently, and Animal Empathy have also been changed as follows: Druids gain +1 point to each skill/level. All other applicable classes gain +1 point to each skill/level minus 5 points. There is no cap on the bonuses. Owl's Insight Wisdom is adjusted by the druid's level divided by two, plus three. This was a module designer's decision. Raise Dead and Resurrection The spells Raise Dead and Resurrection have been modified to apply the resurrection penalty of level loss. True Resurrection is cast by clerics (PC or NPC) level seventeen or higher, and does not include any loss of XP for the recipient (subject is fully restored). Resist Elements The duration of this spell has been increased from 1 turn/level to 1 hour/level to match Endure Elements, and Protection from Elements. Summon Creature I-IX Durations for these summons have been set at 2 rounds per level. This change does not affect Familiars or Animal Companions, which still stay until killed or sent away. Summon Creature VII-IX When summoning elementals, the caster may choose the specific elemental type that is summoned, or may continue to use the BioWare random summons system. You must set your choice before casting the spell by accessing our custom crafting radial menu; the PC must have one of these spells memorized before he will be given this option. If no custom choice is made, the elemental will be chosen at random. Summon Shadow If you are of a good or neutral alignment (on the good/evil axis) you will receive an alignment shift toward evil each time you cast this spell. |
